In turn, the students will be sharpening their communication skills and gaining valuable work experience while learning about philanthropy and the importance of giving back to CCSJ.

Please take a moment to speak with them and share your CCSJ experience. They may ask you to support the College or they may call to just say “Thank you.”

The St. Joseph Society

It is by no accident that Calumet College of St. Joseph named a donor recognition society after the school’s patron. St. Joseph was an exemplary man who subordinated his own ambitions and desires to respond to God’s will for him and fulfilled his responsibilities toward his family and community.
Established in 2010, the St. Joseph Society is our donor society that recognizes committed individuals whose annual gifts serve to shape the future of Calumet College of St. Joseph and its students. Gifts are used to:

  • Provide scholarships and financial aid for deserving students
  • Further our mission and programs
  • Support CCSJ’s areas of greatest need

How to Become a Member

Membership is extended to donors who have contributed a minimum of $1,000 during a single fiscal year. Gifts, pledge payments, and matching gifts received between July 1 and June 30 of each fiscal year qualify donors for membership that year. Single or multiple gifts directed to any purpose at Calumet College of St. Joseph and given within the fiscal year are counted towards your total for recognition at this level.

Recognition

Calumet College of St. Joseph is extremely grateful for the commitment St. Joseph Society members make each and every year. Recognition of members includes:

  • Invitation to the President’s Annual Spring Luncheon and the St. Joseph Society Cocktail Reception
  • Name on CCSJ’s Donor Wall
  • Periodic email announcements of major College news and milestones
  • Invitations to lectures and seminars led by distinguished faculty members

If the stock is held in a brokerage account, and the stock is simply being transferred:
For your convenience, print the DTC Transfer Instruction Sheet Form.

Cetera
DTC #0701
Account #2US15418
for the benefit of Calumet College of St. Joseph

If using this method, please notify the Office of Institutional Advancement of the gift by sending a copy of the transfer instructions by email to ediaz2@ccsj.edu or fax to (219) 473-4259 (ATTN: Inst. Advance). This allows the gift to be identified when it arrives.

Acknowledgement and Gift Processing

When the College receives a gift of securities and matches that gift to the donor, we will send a gift receipt verifying the nature of the gift, the gift valuation date and the gift valuation amount. Neither gains nor losses realized by the institution’s sale of the securities after their receipt, nor brokerage fees or other expenses of the transactions are included in the gift value. If the stock transfer is related to an open pledge, the pledge balance will be reduced by the gift value of the stock gift. Generally, the gift value of a stock transfer will be directed to the donor designated purpose.

A matching gift from your employer can increase the value of your gift to Calumet College of St. Joseph. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees.
If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest.
