Upon Completion of the Legal Studies Program
Upon completion of this program, it is expected that students will:
Be able to summarize by explaining, giving examples and interpreting current issues involving legal and ethical obligations.
Demonstrate the ability to perform legal research and apply concepts to concrete situations through analysis and evaluation.
Perform legal writing as demonstrated by preparing legal forms, documents, pleadings and memoranda.
Demonstrate skills of interviewing clients and communicating legal issues to supervising attorney.
Demonstrate legal knowledge by understanding, analysis, synthesis and application of law to fact situations.
Demonstrate professional commitment to the legal field by participation in Internships, extra-curricular activities and other experiential learning.
Demonstrate the ability to make legal judgments as recommendations to the supervising attorney and be able to compare, contrast and defend their position.
