Students and alumni consistently point to their close relationship with faculty members as the most important part of their Calumet College experience. We could not deliver our educational programs without the contributions of our dedicated part-time faculty, many of whom share their real-world experience in professional positions with their students. These adjunct faculty members support the College mission and the family atmosphere that make CCSJ unique.
We hire adjunct faculty members who meet the requirements of our accrediting body, the Higher Learning Commission:18 graduate credit hours in the field in which they teach. Directors of our 14 traditional undergraduate programs, 2 accelerated bachelor's degree programs, and 4 master's degree programs identify the areas in which they require additional instructors each semester, review qualifications of applicants, interview candidates, recommend hiring, and review adjuncts' work. The Vice President of Academic Affairs makes the final determination of instructors' qualifications to teach at Calumet College.
The current Course Catalog provides complete information about CCSJ's academic programs. Refer to the "Employment" link on the website for information about open positions. Initial applications can be sent to Sharon McGuire, Director of Human Resources, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
