Institutional Advancement
The Office of Institutional Advancement establishes long-lasting community relationships and utilizes financial resources to support our students and programs by securing private philanthropic gifts. It supports student learning and success, the delivery of administrative and academic services and programs and overall maintenance of the college grounds through visibility, outside funding, donor engagement and strategic community partnerships.
The Belonging & Becoming Campaign will ensure a dynamic future for CCSJ. We must have competitive educational and scholarship resources that make our programs attractive and affordable to prospective and current students. With your support, we become a stronger institution that is an anchor to our community and a place where many belong.

Ways to Give
CCSJ Fund
The CCSJ Fund provides flexible, unrestricted dollars to support and enhance the mission of the college. Financial gifts of any size, no matter how big or small, are accepted as yearly donations to provide support for academic departments, student activities, campus maintenance, and more. Your gifts go to work immediately to meet Calumet College of St. Joseph’s most important needs and priorities.
Scholarships
Now more than ever, scholarships are of critical importance. The need and demand for financial aid continues to increase. Every gift, whatever the amount, has the potential to make a difference in a student’s life.
Crimson Wave Athletics
Gifts towards the Crimson Wave athletics are needed for CCSJ to continue to offer competitive scholarships, recruit talented athletes, and provide them with the education and environment to win.
Endowed Giving
Gifts to endowment are the College’s best means for ensuring sustainability for the future. They also provide an opportunity for you to create a lasting impact at Calumet College of St. Joseph.
Contact the Office of Institutional Advancement for more information.
We ask you to consider philanthropic support of Calumet College of St. Joseph, sharing in the investment to ensure help for our students. Gifts to CCSJ may be made in accordance with the following methods.
Cash & Pledges
CCSJ accepts gifts made as cash through checking accounts (made payable to Calumet College of St. Joseph), by electronic fund transfer (EFT) and by means of a credit/debit card. Online gifts may be made by visiting ccsj.edu/donate. Individuals should inquire with their (or their spouse’s) employer regarding matching gift programs.
Memorial or Tribute Gifts
Donors may give a gift in honor or memory of a loved one or an individual from the College community such as a past or current professor, coach, staff person, or administrator. Every effort will be made to share notification of gifts made with recognized individuals or next of kin.
Stocks & Securities
Consider using assets such as stocks, bonds, CDs, and real estate for your charitable gifts. Gifts of this nature may be sent via wire transfer, and donors may consult their brokers or financial advisors on how best to facilitate this with the College.
Real Estate & Other Property
Outright gifts of real estate may be accepted, but in all cases, the College will seek legal counsel prior to approval. Gifts of tangible personal property (e.g., artwork, automobiles, special collections/memorabilia, etc.) are deductible according to their Fair Market Value and should follow IRS guidelines. Approval of these items and a thorough review of details should take place before proceeding as they may place an undue burden on the College to accept or maintain.
Planned/Estate Gifts
Donors are encouraged to make bequests to the College under their wills, trusts, insurance policies, commercial annuities, and retirement plans or assets. CCSJ may be made the beneficiary for a specific amount or percentage of the assets. Donors are asked to notify the College of any planned giving intentions and will be enrolled in the Fr. Lefko Society.
CCSJ urges you to seek the assistance of personal legal and financial advisors in matters relating to your charitable giving, including the resulting tax and estate planning consequence.
A matching gift from your employer can increase the value of your gift to Calumet College of St. Joseph. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees.
If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift to Calumet College of St. Joseph may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
