The Calumet Commitment
AN INSTITUTIONAL PROMISE
The Calumet Commitment is an institutional scholarship that offers students the opportunity to have their senior year tuition paid—in full.
Born from Calumet College of St. Joseph’s dedication to social justice, service, and community, the Calumet Commitment is our promise to continue investing in our diverse population of students by offering them the support—financial, academic and personal—they need to succeed.
In light of current events, it is more important than ever to ensure a college education is affordable and accessible for students in our region. All first-time freshmen are automatically eligible to receive this scholarship.
Requirements
To earn the Calumet Commitment scholarship, the student must:
- Enter Calumet College of St. Joseph as a freshman, without transfer credits from another college or university. AP and dual credits are accepted.
- Reach their senior year by the 7th semester from the start of freshman year (90 credit hours). We want you to graduate on time.
- Enter that 7th semester with a minimum GPA of 3.3.
- Have their most recent FAFSA on file by the April 15th completion deadline.
If these requirements are met, the student’s senior year tuition will be paid in full*, excluding books and fees.
*The Calumet Commitment scholarship is applied after all state, federal and other institutional scholarships and grants have been awarded. The amount will total the remaining balance of tuition, excluding books and fees.
