College Explorers: Science of Sports

A FREE ONE-WEEK SUMMER CAMP

Grades 6-8
Session 1 (Girls Only): July 6-11
Session 2 (Boys Only): July 13-18
*Overnight Camp!

Students will work through a variety of STEM activities such as calculating their own field goal percentage, recognizing the differences in energy and motion between a youth football and a foam football, learning how active play correlates to burning calories, and discovering the technology behind optimal tennis serving speed. These camp activities will also align with the Indiana DOE Science and Engineering Process Standards (SEPS) and the Academic Standards for Health & Wellness for grades 6 through 8.

  • Science of Sports is a residential summer camp
  • Three meals and two snacks are provided each day
