To: CCSJ Students
From: Dr. Ginger Rodriguez
Dear Students,
It’s been an unimaginable spring semester and start to the summer, and I hear your concerns about what you can expect in the fall. Because of our small size and long history of commitment to supporting all students as they earn a degree, we can assure you that we are taking all possible steps to ensure your safety and help you achieve success.
Your safety is our paramount concern, and it is at the basis of all our plans to resume classes on campus in the fall. We have carefully considered classroom capacity and additional safety procedures, and we have plans to offer classes in person, online, and as a combination of those two approaches. That means that you can expect to meet in small groups for some of your classes, partially in small groups and partially online for others, and completely online for classes that can best be offered virtually.
Each class option is designed to provide you with the best possible educational experience. Along with appropriate class structures, we will provide a full range of support services, from virtual office hours and small group meetings with faculty to in-person and online tutoring, advising, library services, disability services, and counseling.
Now more than ever you belong at Calumet College!
Sincerely,
Dr. Ginger Rodriguez
Vice President for Academic Affairs
