The library currently subscribes to over thirty databases. Databases and electronic resources are available both on and off campus. If you are off campus and trying to access our databases, you will be asked to enter your student id number and last name.

Cases, Statutes, Legislation
Designed for research of local, state, and federal cases, statutes, and legislation. Westlaw use is limited to CCSJ students and faculty enrolled in specific courses.

Provides access to over 7,000 eBooks.

News & Current Events
Includes a 90-day archive of approximately 290 newspapers from the McClatchy-Tribune Information Services.
Newspaper Source provides selected full text for nearly 30 national (U.S.) and international newspapers. The database also contains full text television & radio news transcripts, and selected full text for more than 200 regional (U.S.) newspapers.
Regional Business News
This database provides comprehensive full text coverage for regional business publications. Regional Business News incorporates coverage of 75 business journals, newspapers and newswires from all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States.
This current events database allows researchers to explore social, political & economic issues, scientific discoveries and other popular topics discussed in today’s classrooms. TOPICsearch contains full text for over 139,800 articles from more than 4,800 diverse sources.

Biography Resource Center
A comprehensive database of biographical information on more than 185,000 people from throughout history, around the world, and across all disciplines and subject areas.
Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia
This database provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.
Provides full text for more than 1,700 general reference publications with full text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Premier also includes nearly 500 full text reference books, 84,774 biographies, 100,554 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 202,164 photos, maps and flags.

FirstSearch delivers the precise, full-featured WorldCat searching that library staff and researchers value. OCLC First Search contains online access to 6 OCLC databases including WorldCat, OCLC NetFirst, OCLC FirstSearch Electronic Collections Online, OCLC ArticleFirst, OCLC ContentsFirst, and OCLC Union Lists of Periodicals. Library holdings are displayed so users can identify items in their own library's collection.
